Average food at above average prices
It's ok, prices are a little high for what you get. Friendly service, cool setting.
Walk in and want to eat.I’m by myself. Why in the hell would it ever be acceptable to seat me at a table with other people? I’ll never eat here because of that ignorance. Some people just want left the hell alone to eat.
Im an employee at the airport DTW ordered a hamburger and fries last week my fries were over salted i asked could i get new ones was told NO i ended using a paper towel yo take off some of the seasonings but the bulk i had to throw away Today i went order the same exact thing and was charged 32cents for a mayo package but was given 9 pks of ketchup and 2 pks of mustard cashier stated its an extra charge for sauce i thought burger came with mayo i didn't even receive pickles i understand that everything is going bad right now but your customer service still mattersW
One of my favorite places...Garbage burger is a must order!
That was some of the fastest and best service I received. I only had 30 min and I was in and out in shorter time. My server, Starr, was awesome. Burger was hot and fresh. The gate agent suggested it and I was nervous it wasn't fast food. Well it was fast, faster than most quick service places. Very pleased.
I wanted to eat during my long layover in the Detroit airport. Max and Erma's was one of the restaurants I looked at. Reviews went both ways but it was right across from my gate so I headed there. I was seated immediately. I wanted a beer first so I was researching Griffin Claw Norm's IPA which was on tap. My waitress, Jessica, arrived right away. I ordered the beer and said I wanted fish and chips but I wasn't in a hurry. The beer was excellent! Yes, it was nine bucks, but it was a huge glass and yes, this is an airport. As it got busier, I was afraid my order might go in too late so I flagged Jessica down. She said she had just placed my order without ever writing anything down. The meal was fantastic. A group of 10 came in while I was there and staff pulled tables together and quickly accommodated them. I was extremely pleased with my choice.
Okay service. Bland food. Fresh and cooked correctly. Average prices. It's all okay.Portion size is pretty good. Making a good value. So actually add the salad dressing to the salad. It is amazing. I'm going 3 starts to 4 on that alone.
Had Molson beer! And excellent preztel cinnamon sundae! Killing time tastes good!
Why would you have a burger on the sign board if you serve none? Is there a reason other then to mislead people? Then, in spite of what the breakfast menu says - no oatmeal (no cereal at all) and the brand of the tea that has been served does not match with what is promised by the menu. Do you think that is all? No, of course not! Imagine - no milk available (and that is still breakfast time...)I understand that airports are setting lower standards, but, honestly, I should have better gone to Mac.PS: almost forgot - tea pot should have really been cleaned better than this (hope it was that dirty ably outside):
Good food, but they don't tell you how much the drinks are. Kendall Jackson Chardonnay is $12, draft beer is $10.
Great place to eat at airport. Andrew was fast and professional.
This was a great stop for us travel weary patrons. The wait staff was very nice and the atmosphere was cleaning comfortable. The food was very good. This is a bar and grill type atmosphere. Our party had a variety of seafood burgers and salads. Everyone reported that they enjoyed their food.
The service was really good, but the turkey ciabatta was one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. It was the equivalent of a middle school baloney sandwich: cheap turkey, a single cucumber, and a hastily applied dab of sauce. I would look elsewhere if I were you.
Max & Erma's is a nice family restaurant. Food and prices are good. Kids eat free on Tuesday.
Service was very fast with Veronica. The fries were almost cold and the food came out about 3 minutes after we ordered before the beers even arrived. The food was ok. The check was brought by shortly after with no offer of another drink/dessert/asking how the food was/etc.
Decent selection on tap, pretty good sandwich, but terrible soggy fries. Overall not bad for airport food I guess?Service at the bar was ok, but not good.
I had the bodacious burger and loved it! Very tasty and filling. My son had the kid's chicken tenders and sadly he didn't like it. It tasted like it they were made in old oil. They were a bit tough. But the overall experience was nice while we waited to board our next flight.
Great service at the bar! Can't go wrong with chicken tenders and fries and a nice cold Dragonmead Erik the Red!
Good food, good service prices are good also
I don’t recall ever giving out a single star...but this place deserves it. 25 minutes to get my food. 10 of which was being ignored. Just to get cold greasy omelette that didn’t have the potatoes because they were out. Absolutely disappointing way to start a travel day. Perhaps the corporate offices need to get out in the field and see how it’s company is being operated.
Not ideal airport dining. Very poor service. Took about 5 min to get a table when plenty of tables available, just no one bothered to seat guests. Then, took literally 22 min to get the beer I ordered. Still never got it. Ordered corona light on tap 20 oz, they didn’t have so I paid 7.50 for a 12 oz bottle. Food mediocre. Ordered turkey burger and had to add honey mustard and bbq sauce for flavor. Had to flag down a waitress to get the condiments. Good fries tho! thank u, next.
Been to a few locations. This one wasn't that great, but you are in an airport so I guess shoudn't expect much
I wouldn't recommend going here, especially if you're looking for healthy/low cal options. Service was okay but the food was... interesting? I'm not entirely sure but I had CHICKEN Kalbi tacos and, if I'm not mistaken Kalbi is a Korean flavor for beef. It tasted kinda like Del Taco... Not what I was expecting LOL at all.
Food was dry. Service was slow waiting on a table and it was not very busy.
Food was tasty. A little slow for an airport. I had to rush out. Would eat there again. I had the Cobb with chicken.
Was just OKAY. Nothing Special about this place, We only had these two appetizers. Potato Skins- Not Worth It Chix Fajita Quesadilla- Not Worth It.Seasoning on the Chix Fajita Quesadilla, entirely to Spicy, cannot taste anything after that.Potato Skins, Processed, no Flavor at all.🦍
Quick and great food!
The food was good. Nothing to special, but good for an airport. The prices are what you would expect from an airport restaurant. The service was a little slow, so just make sure you have the time before your flight.
STAY AWAY, BAD SERVICE & BAD FOOD. (PICS) Served Pink non-cooked chicken...they did nothing. I spoke to a manager (Ester) about the issue, they pulled the Sandwich off my tab, but did not comp the rest of the bill 'due to state law'...sounds sketchy, almost as bad as the non-cooked chicken sandwich I received.I HOPE I don't get sick. Worst airport restaurant, understaffed, won't let you sample a beer for tasting, then serves undercooked food.
Max & Erma's is a very delightful place to eat which has very good menu options with hamburgers all kinds of sandwiches salads full menu and a great starter menu. I enjoyed eating their grilled asparagus for $4 and also their onion rings for $4 and also their bowl of tortilla soup for $6.
A must-stop airport tradition now that the other locations in SE Michigan are closed. Get the tortilla soup and treasure every second of it. It makes a great to-go snack after landing.
I am giving this five stars because it was simple and easy. Quick bite on a quick layover. Service was good. Food served hot. Not sure what else I could ask for. Also the restaurant was clean as well. They had a fun bar area as well, but because I was working I could not take part in it. Overall great experience.
The place is good, friendly people, the services is ok and the food is ok.
Friendly enough staff, enough variety in the menu. You probably wouldn't eat here if you weren't at the airport, but you are so have a seat.
This is one my favorite burger stops, they are hugh and amazing. They have amazing smoothies here as well. If you love a big bar burger this is the place to get it.
Service sucks and really what else matters after that it’s a restaurant for God’s sake. My husband and I sat down to dine before catching a flight we decided to get to go trays because they were boarding early. I went back because I forgot to get to go silverware and was told he’d have to charge me. After explaining that he just seated me 15 minutes ago he asked to see my receipt 😡
Went for breakfast. Omelet was more an egg scramble. Toast was still completely white. It did not look like toast, just bread. Ordered a side of sausage and got bacon. When I said something to the waitress she admitted to knowingly giving the v wrong side. Overall a bad experience and won't be back.
Airport bar, as good as any, bar staff is good looking and fast, decent people watching and solid place to kill an hour preflight.
Just right. If you’re looking for dinner good but don’t want to spend too much money or time, this place is perfect. The menu has a wide array of options. I had the Reuben which was very good! The fries were okay. The staff was on point. They had enough people working to keep the customer flow high. They also keep the cleanliness level high - which is saying a lot because this airport keeps pretty busy. They also have a bar with several beers on tap.
Delicious! Burger was huge and I loved the hand sliced pickles! Be aware they don’t allow the offers from the real Max & Ermas.
Not a bad place to spend tour time during a Detroit layover. This place does have good beer, and always chilled glasses to go with it. Ten bucks for every beer on draft, no matter what you get. Great selection too, make sure you try the craft beers, don't get a Coors Light. Food prices are actually pretty good. $13 for burgers. Most expensive food item on menu I saw was $14. Service is ok.
I ordered something to go and they wouldn’t substitute tomatoes for something else. “We don’t do that” is what she said . I would like blue cheese dressing “we don’t do that it comes with the third street dressing “ You wait and they expect a tip because they brought you your food. Seriously I get it is the Airport but if your going to charge the price you do for a salad then at least give some serious customer service. Pass this place up, they’re always busy and they’re greedy and stingy!
I take part responsibility on this. I forgot to tell the waitress how I wanted my meat cooked. She assumed I wanted well done and alas, I have this dry ass hamburger. This was NOT my experience at the Columbus Ohio airport location. The hamburger was exceptional. Local IPA selection was weak. Not impressed with what I received.
Pancakes were amazing however the waitress forgot about me for a while.
Horrible experience Sunday afternoon. Host gives the same robotic line to every customer without facing or looking at them. Amanda messed up our order, didn't offer drink refills, didn't fix the missed order item or provide any explanation. Took 45 minutes after ordering to get food. She did discount the bill 15%. Other tables also had long waits for food. One table waited 10 minutes for Amanda's first visit. They left before she came.
Horribly slow service. Took the bartender forever to even acknowledge my presence with only one other person at the bar. Then, i get ready to order and the college football game I was watching switches to "Due Hard"... and they can't change it back. Gotta call "bs" on that one. Would avoid this place on college game day.
An average place. Was disappointed. My adopted son had his first meal in the US there and was ambivalent about it. The burgers just really werent very good.
Fast service, spinach dip and veggie bean burger was excellent. Looks to be popular with flight crew.
